1. Acceptance of Terms & Governance
By accessing our website, booking a tee time or tennis court, entering club grounds, dining at The Grill, or enrolling in membership, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, the club's official bylaws, and all posted rules of Antelope Valley Country Club ("AVCC").
2. Tee Time Reservations & 24-Hour Cancellation Policy
To ensure all golfers have fair access to our William P. Bell championship course:
- Cancellation Window: All public tee time reservations and member bookings must be modified or cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time.
- Late Cancellations & No-Shows: Reservations cancelled inside of 24 hours, or groups failing to arrive ("no-shows"), will be charged the full green fee and cart rate to the booking credit card or member account tab.
- Check-In Requirement: All players must check in at the Pro Shop at least 20 minutes prior to tee time. Groups failing to arrive at the 1st tee box on time risk forfeiture of their slot.
- Inclement Weather / Rain Checks: If the Golf Course Superintendent closes the course due to severe weather, lightning, or frost, prorated rain checks will be issued based on the number of completed holes. Cash refunds are not provided for weather interruptions.
3. Golf Cart Rental & Operating Agreement
Renting a golf cart from AVCC constitutes a legal binding agreement to operate equipment safely and responsibly:
- Driver Age & Licensing: All cart drivers must be at least 16 years of age and hold a valid, unexpired government-issued driver's license.
- Course Navigation Rules: Operators must follow the 90-degree rule across fairways and strictly observe "Cart Path Only" signs, especially on all par-3 holes and within 30 yards of putting greens and tee boxes.
- Damage Liability: The renting player is personally and financially liable for any and all damage to club carts, course property, sprinklers, or landscaping caused by careless operation or misuse.
4. Code of Conduct & Mutual Respect
Antelope Valley Country Club is committed to maintaining a warm, hospitable, and family-friendly environment:
- Harassment-Free Policy: Disrespectful behavior, verbal harassment, or aggressive conduct toward club staff, fellow members, or guests will result in immediate removal from the premises without refund and possible board disciplinary action.
- Dress Code Compliance: Compliance with the club dress code (see Golf Dress Code) is mandatory across the course, practice complex, and dining rooms.
- Pace of Play: Players must maintain our 4-hour pace of play target for 18 holes, repair ball marks on greens, rake bunkers, and respect course marshals.
- Smoke-Free Facility: Indoor dining rooms, ballroom spaces, and the covered dining patio are designated smoke-free zones. Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited inside all clubhouse buildings.
5. Private Event & Banquet Agreements
Reservations for the Grand Fairway Ballroom and wedding ceremony lawn require an executed private event contract and a non-refundable deposit. Guaranteed final guest counts, dietary specifications, and final payments are due 14 business days prior to the event date, as detailed in individual catering contracts with Director Yaz Salinas.
6. Limitation of Liability
Golf and racquet sports involve inherent physical risks. AVCC and its management are not liable for personal injury, errant golf ball strikes, loss of personal property left in locker rooms, or vehicle damage occurring on parking premises, except to the extent caused by gross negligence.
7. Governing Law
These terms and any legal disputes arising from club operations shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the State of California, with venue situated in the County of Los Angeles.
